Animal profile review checklist

Give a named reviewer a consistent way to check public animal profiles before publishing.

Use source material, mark unknowns clearly, and keep private applicant, foster, and medical detail out of public copy unless policy allows it.

01

Medical status

  • Current medical status is supported by a named source.
  • Medications, restrictions, and pending care are current.
  • The profile does not diagnose or overstate uncertain information.
02

Behavior and foster context

  • Behavior notes distinguish observation from interpretation.
  • Foster observations include enough context to be useful.
  • Home-fit guidance reflects what staff actually know.
  • Unknowns are marked as unknown instead of filled with guesses.
03

Public readiness

  • Photos are current, representative, and approved for public use.
  • Wording is specific, humane, and public-safe.
  • Private applicant, foster, staff, and finder information is removed.
04

Review gate

  • A named reviewer is attached.
  • The last-updated date is visible.
  • Hold reasons are recorded before publication is blocked.
  • Final changes are approved by staff before publishing.

If this worksheet surfaces a specific handoff problem, WhiskerMatch can start with that one workflow while the rest of your tools stay in place.
